OrthoNeuro names Chris Masciola as CEO, sets Dublin office move
Three additional physicians will now practice alongside David Deutsch, M.D. at Rockford Health Physicians in Rockford. Glendon Burress, M.D., is board certified in pediatric gastroenterology. His areas of special interest include feeding problems, gastroesophageal reflux, inflammatory bowel disease and eosinophilic esophagitis. He completed his fellowship and residency at the University of Chicago Childrens Hospital and earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois. Katrina Nguyen, M.D., is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. She completed her fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y. and her residency at the University of Missouri Columbia, Columbia, Mo. She earned her medical degree at American University of the Caribbean, School of Medicine, Cupecoy, St. Maarten. Eugene Vortia, M.D., is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. He completed his fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio and his residency at Michigan State University, Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies, Kalamazoo, Mich. He received his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School in Accra, Ghana.
Masciola, who takes over in September , since 2005 has been chief operating officer of Columbus-based Ohio Gastroenterology Group Inc., which has grown by 50 percent in the past five years and plans a move to a larger headquarters early next year. He replaces Jim Hammonds , who left in late 2011 to become director of Ohio Dominican Universityas new graduate program in medical practice management . Administrator Donald Jansen has been interim CEO since January 2012. OrthoNeuro has added four physicians this year, giving it 28 overall. It has two offices in Columbus, plus Westerville and New Albany. It plans to increase its Dublin satellite to a fifth full-time office in October at a new location at Avery-Muirfield and Perimeter drives. It opened the regionas first orthopedic-only urgent care in 2011 in New Albany and has since moved it to the office on Olentangy River Road in Columbus. Before Ohio Gastroenterology, Masciola was practice manager at Professionals for Womenas Health. He has an MBA from Ohio State University .
